The hotel is set amidst orange and lemon groves, interspersed with mango trees. It is beautifully restored and modernised with every available comfort. We found it a treat to sit outside on the balcony in the evening and smell the orange blossom.
A little difficult to find.

Velez Malaga magic ✨
What a lekker setting! The gardens are fine, and the views from the pool area are proper amazing. Staff were super friendly-shout out to the chommie at reception who sorted me out with early check-in! Plus, the food was delicious, particularly the paella at dinner!
Just a bit noisy at times from nearby events, but nothing too hectic!

Fine terrace views, beautifully designed gardens, large swimming pool area
The noise from nearby events kept me awake at night!!! Getting a taxi can be expensive, so a hire car is a must. Some room amenities are outdated!!!

Gorgeous hillside location with amazing views of the orchards! The staff's friendly service, especially during meals. A good breakfast spread complemented the beautiful ambiance 🌅
The internet connection could be more reliable, a bit frustrating at times.

It was impossible to find fault with this hotel. Its position, quality of rooms and fittings, friendliness of staff. Cannot recommend too highly. Because it was February the hotel was quiet, and we were given a better room than we booked.

we loved the location and the views and also the terrace where we sat outside to eat. The inner feel of the hotel was very tasteful and calming.
the only thing we didn't like was that one of the staff was very surly and that it wasn't possible to get any food or drink during the day

The serene atmosphere complemented by the amazing views created a wonderful backdrop for relaxation. Remarkably friendly staff added to the experience, always ready to assist, whether arranging taxis or providing local insights. The wi-fi connection in the room was quite unreliable was good. The room, while charmingly decorated in Spanish style, could benefit from a few modern updates to enhance comfort. Meals were a highlight, with the buffet breakfast offering good pastries and ample choices!

Most of the staff were very nice and energetic. The view and location are excellent.
At one of the evening meals I ordered a veal kabob. The meat was so tough I couldn't eat it. I sent it back and was given a chicken kabob instead. It was fine. The hotel is hard to find.

Fine Views and Really good Dining Experience
The location was fine, perched on a hillside with amazing views of avocado and citrus groves. Dining on the terrace while enjoying the sunset over Velez-Malaga was lovely, and the bull's tail stew we had for dinner was really good-definitely a must-try! The staff were genuinely accommodating, particularly in their thoughtful service during meals, but they could improve their attentiveness at times when the restaurant was busy.

Cristina and Ricardo were absolute stars and couldnt have been more helpful...this is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms and food.... A fab retreat! Try not to lose what is special about you!
Javier could be a bit more helpful and professional in his dealings with us. I understood he was under pressure but you go to a hotel for a break from stress!
